My name’s Agata and I am based in London and working as Senior Product Designer at Shell.
I have 7+ years of UX expertise, backed by 7 years in Visual Design. I led and helped to shape digital products for industry leaders like Shell, IBM, BP, DWP Gov UK, and The AA.
Over the past years, I led myself to immerse in a human-centred process, in order to understand the needs and habits of users.
For me, to be a designer it is not only about designing interfaces that are easy to use and understand but, also, about communicating in a simple and human way.
A little bit about my journey
I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. However, 10 years ago I made the life-changing decision to leave my home country in pursuit of new opportunities and experiences abroad.
Today, I have lived in 4 different countries — Brasil, Ireland, Scotland and England. Because of that, I believe that my intercultural experience has helped me to quickly adapt to unfamiliar or unusual situations. I became more flexible, independent and open to new and difficult challenges.
Living abroad has been an extraordinary experience. The opportunity to learn and to develop as a professional and as a person, sharing my beliefs and passions through interacting with people from all over the world, is the most rewarding of all.
In addition, I believe my experience embrancing all cultures has enhanced my ability to understand users in different contexts and perspectives — political, economical, and cultural. And, at the same time, increasing my empathy for people when trying to understand their struggles and problems.
